HelloGem

Sources and attribution

HelloGem normalizes ingredient identities, aliases, identifiers and typed properties into a curated reference snapshot. Each returned property retains its source assertion identifier and original source link. Source descriptions and editorial excerpts are omitted.

European Commission CosIng

Cosmetic-function facts originate from the European Commission's CosIng database. EU-owned material is reused with attribution under the Commission reuse policy. HelloGem transforms the data into normalized assertions; this service is not endorsed by the European Commission. Listing in CosIng is not regulatory approval.

EMBL-EBI ChEBI

Chemical-role facts originate from ChEBI, whose data is available under CC BY 4.0. HelloGem normalizes role labels and associates them with ingredient identities; this service is not endorsed by EMBL-EBI. Citation: Malik et al. (2025), ChEBI: re-engineered for a sustainable future, Nucleic Acids Research.

Derived roles

Evidence marked cosing_function_bridge is a HelloGem mapping from a documented cosmetic function to a chemical-role label. It is explicitly derived and must not be described as a direct CosIng role statement.

Scope and dates

The current source assertion records were created in March 2026. Preparing a deployment copy in October 2026 does not refresh the upstream sources. Individual source capture dates are not available in this serving registry. The release manifest records counts, source attribution and checksums.
